Nounverber This is one of those rare "stop me in my tracks" albums that come along once in a blue moon. Beautifully arranged and the vocals are amazing. Favorite track: Nothing Is Sacred.

Stagnance 02:14
2.
Branches stretch like fingers cutting Through a night sky Reaching up to embrace the rain I am awake to feel the ache of my body tethered to the earth Holding nothing sacred Crescent moon smiles so menacingly Watching the world from a starry throne Sound of a distant highway bleeds through The quietest evening Holding nothing sacred Facing mortality There will come a day when I return to the earth as food for worms Holding nothing sacred Holding nothing .

Discernment 04:52
Do you think that I could lay here For a while? I don't have any place that I'd rather be Do you think that I could live here For a while? I don't have any place that I can go to I never saw it coming I only had a feeling That you would speak a thousand years In one longing breath I never saw it coming Like a lightening flash in my eyes I wanted to see you But it's rendered me blind And you knew it It's not what I expected But everything I feared Who will offer a kind word now? Who will offer sweet solace and affection? I never saw it coming But now I see you going And darling, I don't know if I should follow But there I go There I go .

Closed Doors 05:25
Lately I see From my doorstep They sigh through waves of hope But no one knows That while you sleep They take all you own Who knows? Lately I see From my window They cry from clouded hope But no one knows That while you sleep They strip your dignity Who cares? So I close the door And I crawl to my sheets And I wait for the sun to rise My soul is tired So let me go I won't tolerate any more Lately I see From my rooftop They buy their way through pain But no one knows That while you sleep They drink your soul Who's there? So I close the door And I crawl to my sheets And I wait for the sun to rise My soul is tired So let me go I won't tolerate any more .

about

This EP is the music to come out of my very first RPM Challenge. (rpmchallenge.com).

I was inspired to undertake this challenge after one of my musician friends told me about it, and up until that point I had spoken for years about wanting to write music but had never taken the time to sit down and actually write. I learned a lot during this time about my own process as a songwriter and a bit about how to record. My biggest takeaway from this experience (besides falling in love with songwriting as an artform) is that it really is possible to create something satisfying if one merely gives themselves the permission to focus and explore for a set period of time. I am grateful to this challenge, as it has sparked a new side of my creativity which I am thrilled to continue exploring from now on.

I encourage anyone who is considering undertaking a creative project to suspend their inhibitions and take the leap, as I believe that the act of creating is one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves.

These songs were written and recorded during the month of February, 2016. I hope you listen, and enjoy.
